Like a Duck to Water

The Eagle Scouts from 1st Burghfield and Sulhamstead Scout Group enjoyed a summers evening messing about on the water at the Wokingham Waterside Centre in Reading, The Scouts had a great time paddling and getting the Instructors wet, One of their Scout Leaders said ‘I think the Instructors enjoyed it more than the Scouts, and they all had a fantastic time, it is great to see the Scouts gaining confidence on the water’.The Scouts also learnt a little on how to control the canoes and work together as a team, the weather was perfect to be on the water and the wild life and scenery are stunning and not to be missed,

Adults in Pang Valley

There are many opportunities for adults to enjoy and support Scouting. Working directly with young people in the Sections includes being a Leader; an Assistant Leader; Colony, Pack or Troop Assistant and so on.

The are also opportunities to help at Group level and in the District in 'management' roles. Tasks at these levels include finance; administration; fund-raising; taking care of equipment; and so on.

Adults in Scouting have fun and are well supported with training and through District and County programme teams.

Support for Adults in Pang Valley

All Adults in Scouting are supported by both District and County-based Support Teams and by a widely respected training programme.

Adults undertaking training in the Pang Valley District are supported by their Local Training Manager, Margaret Ellison  ltmpangvalley@berkshirescouts.org.uk
